The Drinking
Now for the pièce de résistance, your cup o’ joe. What do you do with it, besides drinking it that is? Do you go all commando and drink it black like the purist you are? Do you dress it up with milk and sugar? Do you add spices to it or flavored creamers? Does chocolate or caramel or vanilla enter your cup of coffee?

So many options, so many ways to drink a cup of coffee, where to begin?
Just listen to the orders being placed at your favorite coffee bar. Add coconut milk, almond milk, soy milk, etc. Toss in a scoop of ice cream or flavored yogurt. What about chia seeds, boba or Nutella? Adding calcium products like milk reduces the acid of coffee.
As I said, the possibilities are endless, but the question remains, is the cup of coffee still coffee with all these additions. Or is it like Nellie who discovered that she only liked coffee that did not taste like coffee? Where do you fall on the spectrum from a purist, black and only black coffee to a Nellie, make it taste better with an underlying flavor of coffee and an overriding flavor of something else, like chocolate?
Whatever, however you enjoy your cup of joe, savory every sip, and have a second cup!

I feel like it’s great with additives VS black coffee. I drink iced coffee, and I feel like if it still has the coffee flavor, it’s still coffee. I gotta have my cream and flavoring, I can go without sugar. Mmmmm coffee, I’m going to make me a cup right now!
