Pour-Over Brew

The best part of waking up; a freshly brewed cup of coffee
and there are a hundred ways to brew it.

The Equipment

We prefer pour over brewing, it's a quick, easy way to make a perfect tasting cup of coffee.

The Water

Don't care for the taste of tap water? Try bottled water.

The Beans

Best to grind beans within a half hour of brewing. Uniform grounds prevents the coffee from being weak or too bitter. For a manual dripper, the medium size is preferred.

The Ratio

To brew 16 oz of coffee (2 cups), use 5 Tbs (28 grams) of fresh ground beans and 16 oz of water.

The Pour-Over

Brew time: 3 - 5 minutes

As water heats, place a dripper lined with a filter on a mug. Place grounds in the dampened filter.

When water boils, wait 10 seconds then slowly pour hot water to wet grounds. Wait 30 seconds for the coffee to “bloom”.

Resume pouring, till water is an inch above grounds. Wait until water trickles through the dripper. Repeat until you have the desired amount of coffee.
